
What is the difference between sound engineer vs sound designer? In this video, I will be talking about the key differences between sound engineers and sound designers, and how they work together in the performing arts.
Sound design comprises of recording, acquiring, manipulating or generating audio elements. Mostly used in filmmaking, television production, theatre, sound recording and reproduction, live performance, sound art, post-production and video game software development.
Sound Engineering on the other hand, is to do with the technical aspects of sound during the process of recording, mixing, and reproduction. Sound engineers work with record producers and musicians to help give their songs/tracks the sound they are looking for.
